A Message From Team Apprenticeship
Team Apprenticeship is a group of dynamic women who serve as staff or board members of the Nova Scotia Apprenticeship Agency. The Agency is committed to increasing the number of women who have access to and participate in the apprenticeship and trades qualifications system. Being able to be a part of Women Build is an exciting way for us to live our message of women can do anything and also contribute our time and resources to supporting quality housing for Nova Scotian families.

In Support of Habitat for Humanity Nova Scotia
Since 1992, Habitat for Humanity Nova Scotia has partnered with families in the province to build safe, quality and affordable homes. We offer qualifying families in our program an affordable, no-down-payment mortgage with monthly payments that do not exceed 30 per cent of their monthly incomes. In return, they invest 500 hours in volunteer work, even helping to build their own homes. We also operate the Habitat for Humanity ReStore in Dartmouth, a building supply and home renovation store that accepts and resells new and gently-used building materials, furniture and home décor items. The ReStore helps covers Habitat for Humanity Nova Scotia’s operating costs. This ensures more of your donor dollars directly supports our mission to build more affordable homes.
