A Message From Jeff Langill
I have Man’d UP!
Habitat Nova Scotia is challenging 25 men to raise $1,000 each and have the opportunity to get on a build site and help build their Spryfield home. Basically, they're challenging men to get out of the office and go get your hands dirty, while raising money for an incredible cause that will benefit families right here in our province.
One hundred per cent of the funds raised from ManUp go directly to building homes in Nova Scotia, providing a “hand up, not a hand out” to hard-working, low-income families.
One of those homes will be for Angela Lumsden and her two children, her daughter Grace (10) and son Max (2). Her new Habitat home will be located on Drysdale Road in Spryfield. For Angela, this home means that her children will have a yard to play in, space to explore and the family can be part of a community. Although owning a home was always a dream for Angela, she never though it could be a reality, but thanks to Habitat for Humanity Nova Scotia, she is going to have a safe, stable home for her family.
Support me in making a life changing impact for these hard working families.

In Support of Habitat for Humanity Nova Scotia
Since 1992, Habitat for Humanity Nova Scotia has partnered with families in the province to build safe, quality and affordable homes. We offer qualifying families in our program an affordable, no-down-payment mortgage with monthly payments that do not exceed 30 per cent of their monthly incomes. In return, they invest 500 hours in volunteer work, even helping to build their own homes. We also operate the Habitat for Humanity ReStore in Dartmouth, a building supply and home renovation store that accepts and resells new and gently-used building materials, furniture and home décor items. The ReStore helps covers Habitat for Humanity Nova Scotia’s operating costs. This ensures more of your donor dollars directly supports our mission to build more affordable homes.
