  • Habitat for Humanity Nova Scotia is a non-profit organization that has been working towards providing affordable housing for families in need within Nova Scotia since 1992. Our mission is to build homes, communities, and hope. The organization relies heavily on the support of volunteers and donors to achieve our goals.

The STUD-A-THON initiative is a unique way to get involved with Habitat for Humanity. By sponsoring a stud or making a donation, you are directly contributing to the construction of a home for a family in need. It takes approximately 300 studs to build a Habitat Home. Help usvreach our goal of 600 decorated studs, which will help build not one, but TWO Habitat homes!

The organization's focus on affordable housing is essential, as having a safe and stable place to live is crucial for families to thrive. Habitat for Humanity recognizes this and works to ensure that families can have a decent place to call home. By supporting the STUD-A-THON initiative, you are making a significant impact on the lives of families in need.

So, let's come together and support this worthy cause. Whether you can donate $5 or $500, every little bit counts and contributes to the bigger picture. Together, we can help build homes, communities, and hope for families across Nova Scotia.

In Support of Habitat for Humanity Nova Scotia
Since 1992, Habitat for Humanity Nova Scotia has partnered with families in the province to build safe, quality and affordable homes. We offer qualifying families in our program an affordable, no-down-payment mortgage with monthly payments that do not exceed 30 per cent of their monthly incomes. In return, they invest 500 hours in volunteer work, even helping to build their own homes. We also operate the Habitat for Humanity ReStore in Dartmouth, a building supply and home renovation store that accepts and resells new and gently-used building materials, furniture and home décor items. The ReStore helps covers Habitat for Humanity Nova Scotia’s operating costs. This ensures more of your donor dollars directly supports our mission to build more affordable homes.
