Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Habitat for Humanity Nova Scotia. We look forward to working with you in the near future! This volunteer orientation will cover everything you need to know prior to your first shift.
Please note attending a volunteer orientation is mandatory for all new volunteers.

In Support of Habitat for Humanity Nova Scotia

Since 1992, Habitat for Humanity Nova Scotia has partnered with families in the province to build safe, quality and affordable homes. We offer qualifying families in our program an affordable, no-down-payment mortgage with monthly payments that do not exceed 30 per cent of their monthly incomes. In return, they invest 500 hours in volunteer work, even helping to build their own homes. We also operate the Habitat for Humanity ReStore in Dartmouth, a building supply and home renovation store that accepts and resells new and gently-used building materials, furniture and home décor items. The ReStore helps covers Habitat for Humanity Nova Scotia’s operating costs. This ensures more of your donor dollars directly supports our mission to build more affordable homes.
