Cape Breton Corporate Build Days 2021
A team fundraising campaign for Habitat for Humanity Nova Scotia.
About This Campaign
Please arrive at the build site no later than 8:30am. Upon arrival, check in with the on-site coordinator.
Remember to check weather for the day and dress accordingly. We encourage you to dress in layers, something always prudent given fluctuations in weather/temperatures and the uncertainty around the work for the day. Long pants are required on Habitat build sites.
Avoid bringing any unnecessary valuables as there may not be a safe place to store them.
All volunteers will be provided with all necessary safety gear upon arrival. If you have your own steel toed boots or work gloves, feel free to bring them. Do not, however, bring any tools.
Should something in your schedule change, preventing you from attending, please let us know. You can reach us via email, firstname.lastname@example.org or by cell 902-406-1624.
Finally, please accept our deepest gratitude for making time for this build day, and for helping us "build homes and hope." We look forward to working with you!

Campaign to Support Habitat for Humanity Nova Scotia
Through volunteer labour, efficient management, sponsor funding and donations of money and materials, Habitat for Humanity builds safe, decent and affordable houses with the help of the homeowner (partner) families. Habitat houses are sold to partner families at no profit and are financed with affordable, no-interest mortgages held by Habitat Nova Scotia.Homes are built in communities where land availability allows either through donation or discounted purchase.Habitat for Humanity is a hand up, not a hand out. In addition to mortgage payments, each homeowner invests hundreds of hours of their own labour, called “sweat equity”, into the building of their home and the homes of others.
