Thank you for your interest in becoming a volunteer with Habitat for Humanity Nova Scotia. We have several volunteer opportunities across the province, so be sure to check them out!

New Volunteer Orientations are open to all individuals interested in learning more about how they can help advance the Habitat mission in Nova Scotia. Each orientation is approximately one hour in length and features a brief presentation and an open forum to discuss how you can best get involved.

In Support of Habitat for Humanity Nova Scotia
Since 1992, Habitat for Humanity Nova Scotia has partnered with families in the province to build safe, quality and affordable homes. We offer qualifying families in our program an affordable, no-down-payment mortgage with monthly payments that do not exceed 30 per cent of their monthly incomes. In return, they invest 500 hours in volunteer work, even helping to build their own homes. We also operate the Habitat for Humanity ReStore in Dartmouth, a building supply and home renovation store that accepts and resells new and gently-used building materials, furniture and home décor items. The ReStore helps covers Habitat for Humanity Nova Scotia’s operating costs. This ensures more of your donor dollars directly supports our mission to build more affordable homes.
